When I first started coming to Brighton one of the first things I noticed was how many places there were to relax and drink coffee! You can’t turn a corner without finding a cool spot to sit for a while and watch the world go by.

I like places with character who try to set themselves apart from your usual coffee chain. If coffee isn’t your thing they normally have a selection of other drinks so it’s always worth trying them out!

FIKA

FIKA is one of the new kids on the block in Hove right opposite Hove Town Hall. They have a nice space to sit and have a coffee but also do a selection of fried egg sandwiches and other food!

Stoney Point

Stoney Point is a beautiful little coffee place in Montpelier Place. I love to sit in the front which is a great sun trap for sitting and reading a book or updating your journal.

Nowhere Man

I’ve only just discovered Nowhere Man in Upper North Street because I’d heard about their pancakes. Let me say first their pancakes are amazing! But they also do great coffee.

It’s a relax atmosphere with 70s theme to the interior, if you can get to them try the comfy chairs in the window!

Blend and Brew

Blend and Brew is a beautiful place in Trafalgar Street near Brighton station. Whether you sit inside or outside it’s as good spot to meet a friend for a coffee or get on with stuff on your own. They also have a great selection of cakes and lunch bits!

I’d like to keep these guides updated with new places for people to visit, let me know if you have found somewhere to try out.
